Job Summary: The Perfusionist is responsible for a wide range of mechanical life support systems including but not limited to Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB) and Extracorporeal Membrane Circulation machine. Perfusionist takes over functions of a patient's heart and lungs during surgery or respiratory failure including maintaining the heart and lung apparatus during cardiopulmonary bypass. In charge of setting up CPB, ECMO, and operating right and/or left ventricular assist devise monitoring, set-up and insertion of intra-aortic balloon catheter, operating of intra-aortic ballo
