Zone 4 is an8-bed non-designated holding areawithin the UNC REX Emergency Department, featuringprivate rooms dedicated to behavioral health patients. This specialized area provides focused, compassionate care to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises, while maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Nurses in Zone 4 manage anurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, delivering expert care in a space designed to meet the unique needs of this patient population.
